Saturday 3 October 2026 · Howard MS XC course Belfast, ME. Saturday's race, with any teams you like dropped into it.
The field is real. Every runner below finished this race, at the time they ran. Nothing about them is modelled or adjusted.
Your runners enter at their Index put on this course. The course factor is 0.9247 for boys and 0.9447 for girls — the median of actual over Index across everyone who raced. The test a course factor has to pass is that it reproduces its own race, and this one does: the median runner finished within a second of it, with half the field either side.
Runners who were actually here keep their real time. Thirty-four schools ran this meet. If a school you add was one of them, those runners are shown as they finished and cannot be simulated — a projection cannot improve on a result. Their team-mates who missed it can be added, and are marked.
Add as many schools as you like. Every runner you switch on goes into the same field, so three teams at full strength race each other and the real field at once. Team scoring is recomputed over the whole lot — adding a team pushes everyone behind it down, which is the point.
Every simulated number is marked, on the runner and on any team standing that contains one. Scoring is the real thing: first seven count, first five score, a team without five finishers is struck out before anyone is given a place.
A simulated runner also carries a place range, worked from their own uncertainty. A runner with two races and a wide band could land a long way either side of the place shown, and the range says so.
